i like your name it has a nice ring to it. I only ever had 1 dream and it was kind of similar to something that had happened a few days earlier.
In real life a few days before the dream our public school class (grade 6) went on this field trip to a pioneer village where they reenacted what it was like in the 1800's. There was an old blacksmiths shop, old homesteads, a church, school, post office etc. We were led through the buildings and guided on what life was like in the 1800's.
Anyway we get to the school, and there is some lady dressed up like she would have been in the 1800's sitting at a desk in the front. On her desk right out in the open is a strap. She talked for a while about how the basics were emphasized back then reading, writing, and arithmetic and told us that the kids sat at their desks and only spoke when called upon and if they disrupted things or didn't do their work they would be called to the front and bend over for 3 licks of the strap.
She then asked us if anyone wnated to experience an 1800's school strapping? This was decades ago, back in the 1980's. Well one boy volunteered another boy he didn't like and there was a lot of buzz about volunteering to sample the strap but nobody was stepping up, finally our classes best student and someone that never got into trouble of any kind named Heather says to this boy Tim who was the 2nd best student in the class I will if you will. He looked at her with raised eyebrows and said ugh I don't think so.
Oh come on Tim we should see how the other half lives it won't be that bad she said. Some other girl pressured him a bit to and said oh come on somebody should sample it, we need to see what the 1800's were like.
He paused a bit looked at Heather and said who is going first? You are she said.
The whole class was excited and he bent over her desk and the teacher gave him a lick, it wasn't full force, the 2nd had more oomph to it and he gasped a bit and said ow, the final one was a real sizzler and he started rubbing right away, his eyes were watery and he wiped away a tear or two.
Then Heather went up and received the same type of strapping and she had a few tears as well.
I must of replayed that 50 times in my head the next few days I couldn't get it out of my head, to me the fact that the two best students sampled the strap just made it more delicious in my mind.
Anyhow, I don't know maybe 4 or 5 days later I have this dream that me and my class are all sitting at desks in that old 1800's schoolroom. I haven't completed my work and am called up to the front of the class. I was told to bend over the desk. I got into position and promptly woke up. I was so disappointed I wonder what it would have felt like in a dream.
