Sometimes mom would FINALLY “stop” spanking me and let me crying/wiggle across her lap. She’d mini-lecture, “You know you deserved to be spanked, right? I’d have to sob “yes” then she’d ask if I thought I’d learned my lesson and I’d give an emphatic YES. Usually I was let up to rub. But sometimes she’d answer, “Let’s make sure” or such and my immense relief of my spanking stopped instantly turned to utter panic and begging “NO NO nooomoooore” as she raised the spanking spoon.
