Hi moms, can you give me some ideas on how to manage teen resistance when spanking?
I have some trouble controlling my daughters, before spanking to get them over my knee and during the spanking to avoid excessive kicking, and even slipping to the floor.
Until now I have not had any problems, but for the last season it has been getting worse and worse, I think it is because they are getting older.
Thanks for sharing your experience

Try alternative punishments.

Thanks for your answer. what alternative punishment do you suggest as effective as a spanking? Or do you mean punishments in adition to the spanking?

How old are your daughters? I would start out by explaining to them the importance of discipline and cooperating for it,extra swats if they fight going over your knee.

During the spanking, you can hold their arm at the small of their back to prevent reaching back, and can lock one leg over theirs to cut down on the kicking.

Feel free to email me for further advice

Thanks Lianne
They are 15 and 17. So far, hand-holding has worked, but lately it has become more and more difficult. They accept for the moment that they deserve it, but then things go wrong. Even they're rebelious when I send them to the corner.

You can set their legs with your legs and take their hand and pull it to the lower back.
Describe how you spank them?
Resistance during spanking is normal, but after.
If they don't want to go to the corner, they need to be spanked again.

Moms, thank you for your advice. Next time I have to spank one of them, I'll let you know how I did. I am determined to change their attitude. Have you experienced the same problem?

Hi Linda
I never used a cane and I do't think I ever will. I understand that you do, I hope very gently.
I ever spank with my hand, only sometimes I use a hairbrush

Not a mom but was spanked right up into my teens. Mom probably could have handled me well up into my teens. At 12 or 13 I was resisting a spanking when mom stopped & sat me on her lap. She calmly told me she was spanking me because she loved me & wanted my behavior to change & not because she was bigger & stronger than I was. She always explained why she was going to spank me before doing so. It was difficult for me to cooperate as spankings were embarrassing & they hurt. She used a shingle paddle. As difficult as it I did not resist as she took me off her lap & then turned me over it. She would hold my right wrist firmly & lock her forearm across my back. By cooperating it made it easier for her. I could kick & squirm but she had no trouble holding me in place to spank me to uncontrolable tears. The odd part was when she was helping me up she thanked me for my cooperation. I never resisted again though I tried to talk her out of the spankings and she always would thank me for submitting to them. I think it made it easier on both of us.

My girls 18 and 16 get spankings but maybe only once or twice a month now. Anyways I help them across my lap and start to spank, when they reach back I hold their hand in the small of their back and they do kick and squirm as they are getting their spanking trying to avoid mom's hairbrush on their bare bottom.
