This might sound strange. But has anyone ever felt guilty about getting away with doing something and not getting punished? I never considered I would feel bad about getting away doing something I knew was wrong and not getting caught.

I would have to say that until now I would have thought you were 100% correct. I feel bad because I took some cash from my little sister to get something that I really wanted. She now thinks she lost the money. I had every intention on giving her the money back once I earned it. She would have never loaned it to me.
Now she is crying and I feel awful.

Well it's your call. But getting away with something, and making a sibling cry are two different things for me. Looking at this situation years later, from mother's perspective now, I would have spanked you for this in front of your little sister to teach you the lesson. I feel sorry for your the little sis. Taking her money has been very selfish of you.

But I would be super embarrassed if she did it in front of my little sister. I can try talking to my sister and telling her I will pay her back. But I know she would just tell my mom anyway. I second what Janice said when I think of a proper punishment for what you had done, I am sorry, but you would have not found any sympathy with me.

Please do not be selfish, think how horrible your little sister feels. A sound spanking on bare bottom is what you deserve, and your little sister witnessing it, would have been just.
