There's some obvious fakes here, of course, but I'm most annoyed by the ones on the mom's forum. I don't understand how it even appeals to them... they're having the same exact conversations over and over again. I wouldn't be surprised if the main dozen-and-change posters are a mere three or four people. I find myself very curious if they're copy-pasting and editing the posts that are practically identical or if they're just so enamored with their own phrasing choices that they type things the same way every time.

I'm not even annoyed about the faking, just about the lack of competence in doing so.

The very nature of a fetish is that it's an obsessive focus on something, and forums like this may be a fetishist's only safe outlet to express this part of themselves. Having a fetish, though, doesn't give that person an imagination or talent for intelligent storytelling. Some realize that they are repeating themselves endlessly, so they make up lots of fake names so it might seem as if real discussions are being had. In anonymity, they must not care how it looks to anyone else, and they get their fix until the next time they're online.

How do you spot fakes?

To me inconsistencies in timelines is a giveaway
Things that make me suspicious:
- Never talking about anything other than spanking
- gratuitous detail. Does anyone really remember the colour of knickers they were wearing 20 years ago.
- inconsistencies.
- fishing posts particularly when aimed at teens.
