Never got paddle or belt. Spankings were across their lap. Bare hand on bare. Hard! Enemas were NEVER given as punishment. Always for health reasons. Such as bringing a fever down, constipated child, or if she felt one was needed. When staying with my aunt ( she was a nurse) I remember my cousin getting enemas from her.
