Thanks for responding. Sometimes I'll hear people say that they were spanked, but they really mean that their parents gave them one or two swats on the seat of their clothes. I probably got that as a toddler, but I wonder how many kids are still put over mom or dad's knee and spanked on the bare bottom. That's how we got it, and by around age 9, it was usually with my mom's hairbrush. As I said, my mom grew up in the 1950s and early 60s. It seems like her generation was used to a much more formal approach to spanking.

Could you describe that last spanking at 19 in detail from begging to end - how it felt, how hard she spanked, how long it lasted, how you reacted etc. I mean just the spanking itself.
