I had an almost identical situation when I was thirteen,except it was an older sister. I was the youngest in my family and my oldest sister was twelve years older than me. She was so much older I never really knew her as a sister. By the time I was in second grade she went away to college and then got a job in town about thirty miles away.

My parents won a one week Caribbean cruise in a school music program raffle contest. But they almost decided to decline because of the yours truly problem. However, my sister volunteered to watch me, using a combination of vacation days, and commuting on some days to her out of town job.

Like your mom, mine warned me to behave and that my sister had authority to spank. She even scratched out some rules, and a list of chores I was suppose to do to help out my sister.

My sister was really very good. But I was not used to doing all these household tasks, and I didn't respect her the way I did my parents. About two days in, after getting some backtalk from me, she announced I was getting a reminder of who was in charge and how to behave. She fetched mom's paddle from top the refrigerator and warmed my behind.

The next day she told me she was not very impressed with the paddle. It was one of those old fli-back paddles with elastic and ball removed. Out of the goodness of her heart she had bought mom something she felt was more appropriate for a "sassy kid" my age. It was a hairbrush, and she put it on top of the refrigerator.

I did not get spanked again that week. But mom used the brush on me upon their return after getting a report from my sister (she was not as kind as your cousin) and it became the permanent paddle.

Hi Lynn. How old are you now, and are you and your sister have a close relationship? As Lisa and I got older and our age difference didn't matter, we became good friends. After I realized how much I worried her by disappearing while she was in charge, I apologized profusely and admitted that I got what I deserved.

The worst part for me was that I idolized my older cousin and for her, of all people, to spank me like a child was hard to accept at that age. We've talked about it few times and Lisa has told me that she was nervous, as it was the first real spanking she had ever given. But she was so upset with me for breaking her rule (and scaring her), that she had no trouble lighting up my bottom. How about you? Could you forgive your sister for introducing the hairbrush? It was also the tool of choice in our house.
