 A joke I've seen many times contrasts childhood and adulthood — wanting the things we hated as kids, like naps, early bedtimes, and spankings. :)

Over the years, I've also talked with hundreds of adults who want/like to be spanked, and at least half were spanked growing up. Most hated it. Spankos get various kinds of pleasure or satisfaction from spanking, but the common difference I see is that a consenting adult has the control they need over the situation. It is two very different experiences, and why childhood spanking can't be replicated in adulthood unless it is forced on the recipient.
