I have a stack of seat cushions in my room that students can use any time they wish. It's understood that kids in our society get spanked. It can be embarrassing to sit uncomfortably on those god awful hard school chairs with all of your classmates knowing that you 'got it good' that morning or the night before. The student doesn't have to ask or give a reason, they can just grab a seat cushion and sit on it that day. The cushions don't offer a whole lot of comfort, but they are better than sitting directly on the hard chair. No questions asked, no need for permission, no reason need be given. They just grab them and sit on them. Not every kid that sits on a cushion has a sore butt from a spanking. My cushions are disc shaped in a rainbow of colors. I wish teachers offered them when I was in school. Especially on those occasions when I had gotten paddled. It would have been nice to have something soft to sit on after a paddling.
