Definitely my worst year being spanked was when I was 14. It was my first year of high school and I was certain I was "too big" to STILL be getting bare bottom spankings!
I felt "grown up," deep in puberty with hormones so having my full bush and plump buns exposed for spankings felt extra embarrassing. And being taken over the lap and spanked to bawling felt so juvenile.

Also, I was an inch taller than my stepmother but once over her lap it didn't matter and my long legs just kicked helplessly. My frustration made me act out, so I was spanked about twice a month and my stepmom made sure my spankings were VERY humbling - "spank the sassy attitude out of you Missy."

Worse, my stepsister Gail was 16 and no longer subject to spankings, so I was the only one getting spanked and Gail enjoyed reminding me of that. I was super embarrassed to be spanked in front of Gail and she would make snide comments about how loud I cried and how wildly I wiggled my red bare bottom.

As much as I hated that year of constant humiliating panties-down punishments it worked as when I was 15 I'd calmed down and only got five spankings that year.

Any one else ever try to argue that "teenagers" were too old for spankings? Especially bare bottom?

Yes sweetie, I tried that "too old" argument. It didn't work. I didn't get very many spankings in my teens, but I still managed to get them and my folks just basically let me know, I'd be too old for spankings when I decide to act my age and not do stuff I know I'll get in trouble for. I got my last spanking from Momma at seventeen and then a couple of months later from Daddy the week after my eighteenth birthday for backtalking Momma. It was a very humbling experience to get my bare bottom spanked at that time of my life, especially in front of my sibs.

I got a few spanking in my teens, and all of them were for immature, irresponsible behavior. The punishments were very shaming and humbling because it was juvenile treatment for juvenile behavior. My parents were intentional about it, trying to make a point of it as spankings were designed to be undignified.

I didn't argue with them about it by saying I was too old, so they didn't have to counter with the argument that I'd be too old when I act my age. If that argument is taken to its conclusion, then millions of adults these days should still be getting spanked.
