Dear Maddie and others of us who admire and love you:

On the television show "Hoarders" it is often mentioned that there is no known cure for Animal Hoarding. I suspect that the same may be true for those of us with a spanking fetish.

I suspect that these bare bottom mom hand spankings really hurt and when she gets to the hairbrush spanks, her intent to blister you is not just hyperbole. We all know that nonetheless spankings are therapeutic for both participants.

Maddie says above: "... and also, like me she has a spanking fetish. I believe she has come to terms with it and has spanked me twice as an adult because she has been able to separate her fetish from reality and is not afraid to spank her daughter as discipline and make up for mistakes from the past. I was a privileged brat who was never disciplined properly."

I do apologize for my harsh comments. I would like to suggest that Maddie consider or reconsider whether her mother's spankings demonstrate mom separating fetish from reality.

I get it. I am also not an advocate of spanking children (teens maybe) but I think there are times and certain personalities that need and deserve it and won't do any harm. It sounds that Maddie's mother has thought a lot about the mistakes she has made in raising Maddie, realizes that not disciplining her has done more harm than good, is now in a better mental state than she was when Maddie was growing up and, so to speak is making up for lost time.

It sounds like your childhood was traumatic and confusing and I'm very sorry you had to go through that. It sounds like you both are mending.

I agree that some personalities need and deserve it. I was spanked the most in my family growing up because all other punishments did not work for me and I would continue doing things I shouldn't until I got spanked then I never repeated that behavior or slapped ECT. I am finding my daughter has the same exact personality. I have tried all other types of punishments with her and none worked. Three weeks ago I spanked her for the first time at age 7 and her behavior stopped.
