Please consider the following hypothetical situation:

You have two twins, Bob and Lisa. Both girls are 17 years old and are seniors in two different high schools. When Bob was in 6th grade, he got his share of detentions. You put in a rule that says a detention at school meant a spanking at home. Over the years Bob got his share of detentions and was spanked for each one. Lisa was also subject to the same rule but from 6th grade through 11th grade, she did not get any detentions.

However, as Lisa's senior year is coming to the end, Lisa does something stupid accidental and gets a detention for it. Lisa feels the detention is fair but is not looking forward to a spanking at home. It has been over 2 years since either child has been punished but both kids know that they are still subject to being spanked.

Bob strongly feels that Lisa should be given a spanking for the detention. Lisa feels that since she goes to a strict school and has had an excellent school record she should not be spanked. However, she is willing to accept a spanking if that is what her parents call for.

What should the parents of Lisa do?
