Oh, let me count the ways!
But generally ..
Younger it was along the lines of, "That's all very well missy but I'm going to spank you now."
Older, late teens and beyond, it was more, "I think we're going to have to have a spanking, don't you?" Or, "It seems to me I should spank you. What do you think?"

My mother used to order, “Take your pants off.†Or “take off your pants†and that always meant a bare bottom spanking was about to happen.

With an older teen, young adult, a spanking of the sort I had, and have given, isn't so much about mom imposing as a mutual, joint decision as to what's best. As mom I would usually guide the decision, be the one to put the spanking option on the table, but when she went OTK it was with her acceptance.

No matter if it is my oldest daughter at age 19 or my youngest son at age 11, I say the same thing. You are getting a spanking, go to the living room and remove your clothing from the waist down and wait for me.
