Do you use pillow if use face down? If they lies on pillow, how high their bottom arched in the air? Who is luckier, if one punished laying, next punished kneeling? In our 1980s, ordinary working-class families didn't stand on ceremony with pillows. I don't remember a single story about a pillow, even from girls, about someone lying with a pillow under their hips. Just lie down on the bed, sofa, or bench and accept the punishment for your misdeeds. As for the second position, it was usually between the parents' legs. The difference between the positions was explained more by "I want it this way" than by the severity or other specifics of the reason for the belt landing on our butts. Could you perhaps give an average estimate of how much dad strap you and for what? How many days does it take for the aftereffects to subside on average with this position and implement? The pain is always very intense. It feels just as bad now (17) as it did at first (12). Dad doesn't have a set number of strikes. Of course more serious offenses means a longer spanking. At present maybe 3-4 sessions in a year. I get it for offenses considered more serious. School related trouble, like texting in class getting me a detention. Curfew is considered serious. Serious bad attitude. After a sound spanking with the strap about a week for most everything to clear up. I'm not sure about these last items. I'm never happy when a spanking with the strap is announced but I also realize that I also deserve it. I have never felt I was spanked unfairly. It always embarrassing and that strap really burns.
