I did think exactly as you mention: Those four left hand hand-spanks weren't all that bad and I was more surprised that they didn't hurt all that much and that it was left-handed!

But, I cried a bit and vowed to myself that I wouldn't say anything like "Ha, ha -- it didn't really hurt that bad!" Rather I would try to make sure he didn't need to do it again anytime soon. So, I think there might be room for mild spankings in some spanking regimens. At least, for kids who are basically in control of their conduct.

Most of my friends never got a lighter spanking and so perhaps neither did Brenda. I suspect that just to get the razor strop to land across a naughty bottom, it has to be the result of a good solid swing. So any spanking with the razor strop is going to be way hard enough to be educational by the usual measure of hard enough to keep the naughty behavior from being "worth it." Brenda, did you ever feel the razor strop but think what you did was worth it?

Question (from Alfred22):
"Brenda, did you ever feel the razor strop but think what you did was worth it?"

Absolutely not. Whenever I got my parents' ultimate punishments, a razor strop whuppin' or a switching, I was one very sorry girl. Whatever I did, no matter how much I wanted to do it, instantly became not worth it.
