As awful as it is I'm sure you must take some comfort in the ritual knowing as it proceeds not only will the strap painfully land after the allotted number your dad feels necessary it will end. Hopefully enough to implant the lesson firmly in your bottom to brain connection. I suppose it unrealistic to think you'll not need the strap again but I do hope you can enjoy the summer strap free.
