«=»the smallish stallion ambles in, a look of mourn etched upon his aging featurres. all 10 of his long years had revolved around the likes of this territory and it practically broke the bronc's heart at having to leave the beloved sanctuary. eyes wander over the familiar terrain; there's the field we used to have races in, there's the brook that Sham gave me a strawberry bath in, there's the woods Odessa, Dessa, Ayla, Nike, Diamond Snow Storm, and Snow Storm 'n I used to play tag in. my brother Ack was first discovered not far from that grassy knoll and... teeth clenched tightly as the throat became restricted for the chestnut was nearly forced to insane emotion. never before had he shed but one tear as his life seemed to disintegrate and then rise up to bloom sometime later. this would be another one of those times. man, why did he have to feel like a deflating balloon? if only...if only what? memories caused nostalgia, yet what was the use of dwelling in the past? it only produced more heartbreak...
lobes swivel alertly on the proud visage as the sadly glimmering optics caress the Glen one final time. gradually the mustang picked up speed, forcing himself to put one foot before the other. how difficult a time he was having, leaving the only land he's ever known only, never to return. limp tail flicks idly to and fro, as if waving a forlorn farewell. a final trumpet is emitted from the equine's rumbling throat. give it up for the champ, the champ who leaves heavy-hearted. never will Windy Glen be forgotten«=»
Down the trail that never ends,
With twists and turns and breaks and bends,
Never knowing where you'll head,
Towards the ocean or a dry riverbed.
On and on the toil goes,
Where it stops, who on earth knows?
Thank your lucky stars that you haven't fallen,
Earthly ties will just keep you stallin'.
Take my word and continue your travels,
For only then, the tale unwravels.
((ooc: sad, sad, sad, ssssaaaadddd....well, that poem was a random 5 minute thing, so, well, adios ya'll. it was real cool meeting everybody, but I guess I better cart my baby off somewhere else to rot in misery... naw, just kidding, but, well, bye...*waves forlornly*))
