YES!! My dd has a nice, slim build and I think she looks just as nice in all black as a solo dress. I also thinks she sometimes scores higher in all black. Not sure if it is due to her standing out more or if she just wears it well (tall and thin). I let her decide and often she chooses all black (and a simple, small wig) instead of the solo. -- The New Irish Dance Message Board

, I LOVE the simplicity of the look and it's amazing how much more you watch the feet when there's no bling distracting. I would wholly embrace an all black competitive system EXCEPT I love the costumes 1920-1990 that had the beautiful celtic designs, classy hemlines and folk look that goes with the music and dancing.
