Subject: I don't know of too many youth sports that put their participants through cross-fit type workouts on a regular basis on top of regular classes and competitions/games.

This isn't situps, proper stretching and muscle toning. These are intense high-impact and heavy hitting workouts that are usually done by adults. I've seen the videos. If this is what is needed to safely perform Irish dance, then maybe it is time to look at the expectations of Irish dancers and pull it back. It is starting to be a little insane.
