Subject: New rule here, after much bureaucratic frustrations, for everyone, but esp. Capt John & Deadhead

After having extremely ridiculous bureaucratic frustrations in reporting my late, great mother's Aug. 4th death to a couple of government agencies, as they recently informed me I needed to do, I will vent my frustrations & anger here by creating a new rule, esp. for Capt John & Deadhead.

The next time I ask either of you if you're interested in anything from me, if you reply to simply say that you're interested but fail to follow up indicating any appreciation whatsoever for my contribution, or if you behave in a similar way again, you will receive 1 warning. The next time after that, you will become unable to see any more of my contributions here - 1 way or another. So the next time, I would suggest that when you simply express interest, you simply should add "TIA" (thanks in advance) to your msg. to avoid my getting annoyed again. This should have occurred to you sooner, but unfortunately it just doesn't seem to be in your nature.

Also, it amazes me how many times people will say something like, for example, "VOTE NO on ISSUE 2". Why should I?! Am I supposed to take orders from him/her or something?! I may in fact vote that way on a certain issue, but it will because I want to do so myself, certainly NOT because you told me what to do or say. A more courteously respectful way to do it would be to say, for example, "Could you PLEASE vote no on issue 2?".

In fact, the late legendary actor Paul Newman may have finally stopped signing autographs because a guy came up to him and shoved something in front of his face, saying something like, "Here, SIGN THIS!" rather than, "Here, could you PLEASE sign this?" What poor manners. It figures that when Mr. Newman was filming the 1980 volcano drama movie "When Time Ran Out", which featured Veronica Hamel", roughly around the time of the incident I just described, he was quoted as saying, "I hate rude people!"
