While I think such surgery is possible, I would never have had it removed. It is a big part of Bailey's look.

Thank you for that. Believe it or not, during the 16 & a quarter years that my family & I had Bailey (from Dec. 1985 to March 20th, 2002), no one noticed her little "Hitler mustache"! It wasn't until a couple years after she had died that a cyberfriend of mine named Mike M. in Connecticut, with whom I often discussed Pink Floyd bootleg CD's, noticed it in a pic that I had uploaded and told me about it.

I was rather shocked, and I told my late Mom about it, and we agreed that it was no big deal and that Bailey wasn't any less beautiful because of it. Then a few years later I discovered that site about cats that "look like Hitler" (called "kitlers"), which I once posted about. So our little Bailey (totally 100% adorbs) wasn't the only one.
