I watched "Operation Petticoat" myself as well many decades ago.

Here's an off-topic experiment to consider trying. Why not take roughly 1/8 of a cup of cat food, and slowly pour it over your cat's head while it's sleeping, and then just see what happens?

I actually did it to my own cat, the late, great Bailey, 2 & a half or 3 decades ago, and it turned out to be no worse than a minor annoyance for her, esp. as she ended up cleaning the whole little mess (only 1/8 cup) herself by eating each & every piece of cat food, leaving nothing behind to clean up.
