Welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll be very accustomed here :-)

With Charlie I have never really had to spank over grades, he for the most part puts in a good effort and gets good marks. However I have had to, on many occasions, spank over homework not being done. I, like Mary, check if he has any homework once he gets home and I expect to be done before bedtime.

He ofcourse whines that he doesn't have to do ot because he gets good grades anyway but I know that once he doesn't do one, he won't do the next homework or the one after that, so it is best to stay diligent!
