My boys are 9-12 and 15. They have each and more than each been spanked twice in the same day, either different offenses or as Mary talks about a follow up spanking before bed. One of the reasons I added my hairbrush to my hand spankings is that when my oldest was 8 I was too often needing to spank him twice on the same day for different things he was going through a real bratty stage and I realized my hand alone wasn't enough. I had to do the same with my other two boys when they were 7.

But have still needed to spank twice on the same day for differing reasons, my boys can be stubborn and willful at times.
