I always escort. I insist the boy takes my hand and walk with me to his bedroom or wherever the spanking will be administered. Holding of the maternal hand is the first act of submission. It is a sign that the naughty boy is accepting the punishment. If he refuses or resists, he gets more licks. Unlike most on this forum, I sometimes cut my sons a break and let leave their briefs on during the spanking--but if they don't take my hand and walk with me (contritely), they know they can expect a fully bare bottom spanking (or as my four year old says "nakey spank").
