I do spank bare bottom for the most serious offenses. Sometimes, I get soft and cut the boys a break. They all wear briefs (or underoos), so there still isn't much protection or modesty afforded. They hate being spanked over their briefs or doing corner time in their undies. But, to be fair, bare is the most dreaded. My 4 year old always screams "No Nakey, No Nakey" when I strip him of his briefs. Bare definitely adds more humiliation to the mix (their faces get very red). I think of an over the undies spanking as a lighter sentence, but bare bottom is hard time.
