Both of those were spankings that Marek definitely needed and deserved. Good for you. I am guessing even though you indicated it was issue over the last couple of weeks in getting him out of bed, it is still behavior you've had to spank for in the past.

This is a scene that played out many times with my son when he was growing up, as well. He just did not like going to school, so he did anything and everything possible to delay in going. His little boy reasoning I am sure thinking if he waited long enough, Mommy won't make me go to school. That of course never happened. It only always caused Mommy to give him a good, sound spanking.

The same problem happened with church, as well. He had the same flawed reasoning in trying to avoid church. The end result was the same, going to church with a well reddened and very sore bottom (and thighs).

My girls received before school spankings, as well. But it was nowhere near what I needed to give my son. All of the children especially hated being spanked in the morning before school (or church). I would get complaints how they wouldn't be able to sit all day or how "Everyone will know I was spanked!!" I even got the reasoning (threat?) from my son "If you spank me Mommy, I won't be able to concentrate on my schoolwork at all and I will do bad." But I made it clear to him that I still expected him do his best in class, the same as always. And if I heard any bad reports from his teacher(s), behavior or performance, that he would be having a repeat visit to my lap after school.

In more recent years while babysitting Andy, I've had to go through it again with him as well in administering before school (or church) spankings. Much like my son was, he also wasn't a fan of having to get up and go, either. Although I haven't had to spank Andy in the morning before school or church in awhile now.
