I'm sure the lexan paddle was a big shock to your daughter. The pain from a paddle is entirely different as compared to just a hand spanking. I remember when I first gave my daughter her big girl paddling, she just gasped and became extremely vocal during the spanking. She was saying things like "What is that?", "I don't like it", "It hurts. It stings", "Please stop" while trying to catch her breath. And I was thinking to myself that of course you're not supposed to like it. And a punishment is meant to hurt and sting. Only then they learn.

What was your daughter's reaction? Did she also start hyperventilating and became vocal? And how many smacks did you give her for her first paddling? In the beginning, I gave my daughter just 5-6 smacks to give her a taste of the paddle. And then I slowly increased that and nowadays I go 50-50 for hand and paddle. And she definitely doesn't like that. She thought that it was always gonna be just 5-6 smacks from paddle haha.
