Don't have a lot to add here. With young kids I will spank with legs together unless we need to have a leg lock as well, older ones spread apart. Younger an armless chair is fine but for teens I prefer the couch or bed so their upper torso has more support.

As for over the knee I think it is best especially for teens. It is a childish position to be in and since they've acted immaturely, arrogantly, disrespectully or in a child-like manner it is appropriate for them to be spanked in a child-like position.

The other good thing is generally speaking teens hate otk. It reduces their ego as we spoke about earlier and that is often one of the desired byproducts of a spanking. They seem to need some reminders from time to time that mom is in control and has authority over them and the ultimate expression of that authority is a bare bottom other the knee/lap spanking.

Teen spankings in my house were serious business. They didn't happen nearly as frequently as when the kids were younger but they dreaded the entire process, and some teens with developing bodies really hate the exposure of a spanking and that can make it more of a drama for sure.
