Thank you so much for your comments and support.

I know you said it was a 'true Spankcation', but I will be honest, it was pretty normal for one of our week-long family trips. lol I've had years where I have had to give less spankings, but I think 3 is the least amount I've had to administer in a week. There are years I've had to give even more. And if the children that we sit continue to go with us, more children for spankings will increase next year. Jason's and Paula's twins will be 3 1/2 next year, which is certainly old enough for proper spankings.

In regards to Julian, we all make mistakes at times. His mother is a great mom, but she made a mistake in not following through on his misbehavior when they were out. He was quite the naughty boy at the store and she promised him a spanking when they got home, but then changed her mind.

When she told me about it after they got home, I was going to give him a spanking, but she asked for me not to as he was behaving well now. I tried to convince her that was not a good idea and the importance of consistency, but she had already made up her mind. However stubborn I can be at times, I was not going to push it. Julian is quite lucky I was not the one at the store with him. As not only would we have taken a walk to the restroom where I would have spanked his bare bottom soundly with my hand and wooden spoon. He would have received a follow-up hand spanking when we got home, as well. Just to explain, when the kids act up away from home, I will almost always give a second spanking (hand only) at home as some added reinforcement and reminder due to the extra naughtiness away from home.

You needed to spank Steven a little over a couple months ago from what I recall? Although I believe it was due to sass and backtalk, not related to bedtime. I know it's been 2 years since you've had to spank Aaron, but I assume spanking is still an option for him? If so, do you still make that clear to him?
