Thank you for your support and comments, as always.

Where I see exactly where you're coming from, I know Derek didn't feel lucky when I spanked him right before the trip, which was still a public spanking as it happened in the living room. Although you're right, it would have been a bigger one (more people) up north.

You asked how often I spank the boys. Keep in mind I don't see them every day. I've stopped babysitting Andy daily, he is 17 now. But his Mom does want me to watch him when she has to travel for work at at week or two at a time. So my numbers for them is a bit skewed. But I would say on probably spank them on average about once a month or a little less. As I had mentioned, before Andy's most recent spanking up north, his most recent spanking was 2 months prior. So he was definitely overdue and most certainly the reason for his backtalk and attitude. Since then, he has remained my good boy. :)

I know all about having to spank often at mid-teens. My son was the same age as your Sammy when I was having to spank him just as often. He finally woke up when he realized he was now entering his senior year of high school. His spankings didn't stop, but they did lessen. I continued to spank him with some consistency (around every couple of months) all the way up to right before he left for college. And then he earned his last spanking (at almost 20) after his first year of college.
