When you told me the other day how Steven was acting and that you had to give him swats, and that it had been over 2 months since his last spanking, we both knew it was only a matter of time before he would be over your lap again. That was a spanking he well needed and deserved.

This was an issue I had with my son Jason all the way up to before he left for college. Like you and your husband with your boys, our children were expected to contribute to the house, as well. Not just taking care of their own rooms (and I had enough trouble with my son on that, as well!). Like with Steven, it was with Jason we had the most challenge with in motivating in his contribution. I also spanked him on more than one occasion when he argued with me about it. He "didn't want to" or "didn't feel like it".

Good for you in letting your friend know at church that you needed to spank. I have always been the same way with my friends at church. I am not one to hide it, with friends that know that I spank. Our church has always been very supportive of spanking, so it is no secret there that I was a spanking Mom and now spanking Grandma.

We will see how long Steven can go this time for. Cherie, have you spoken to Steven about spanking remaining an option while he attends the online schooling this fall? I believe you said he will be staying at home.
