I love this, thanks for posting it. And this has me smiling "Lots of snot and tears are always produced. Marek is a real snot factory." Lol, same here, always has been. :)

The more things change the more they stay the same, I would say since school got out in June 14th between Austin, Decker, Ryan, Bobby, Tommy and Mason I have spanked 45-55 times this summer.

Here is something I posted exactly 3 years ago.

Here, “the more things changed the more they stay the same.” The older they got the more things stayed the same, but different, I hope I can explain.

Here when I think about it as I have talked many times on the reasons I have had to spank, one reason being I will share up front is having 3 boys so close in age, even before Scott came into the picture Donny and Bobby would push each other, instigate get each other going, fight, argue, of course they love each other it was just boy things. Now the past 3 1/2 years with 3 and then throw in their best friends, its a recipe for “spanking time” I swear there are days they wake up and remove their brains and any rational thought process, then the braindead behavior is on. My mom says they are “full of piss and vinegar.” And that they get their stubbornness from me.

But the main thing that I have always had to spank for? “situations that produced the most spankings as they got older? “Days of many spankings?” Here sleepovers and issues with video games cause the most spankings. I could also include but not limit it to, off the top of my head...Summertime, school vacation, School, daytime, nighttime, bedtime, rainy days, snow, sunny days, windy days, shopping, church, sassy back talk, not talking, selective deafness, selective laziness and daredevil activity. oh daylight savings time and Standard time :)) other then that...lol.

“Are children spanked for different reasons as they get older?”
Yes and no, I may be the only one but to me “the more things change the more they stay the same.” The older they got the more things stayed the same, but different, I hope I can explain.

Example, when a 3-5 year old throws a tantrum it is different but I have seen my boys still throw what I call tantrums but of course for different circumstances, reasons. They may not throw themselves on the floor like when they were younger but they can still throw a fit, tantrum if they don’t get their way.

I heard the word ‘NO!!’ In defiance when they were 3 with a stamping foot and attitude, I still hear and see the same behavior from time to time, not as often but I see and hear the defiant attitude, behavior. A whining “I don’t want toooo” Do I have to?” And NO!

7-8 on up and still now with all three of them I spank/ed for a lot of selective deafness (not listening to me) laziness “I forgot” “I don’t know” arguing, being defiant, bedtime issues, chores not being done, bathroom issues, ect...

As they got older I of course I had to spank for more things, from ages 9 on up till now the two individual things I have spanked most for is, reasons that have to do with Video Games and during sleepovers, and much more safety issues then when they were younger, although again I spanked many a time when they were young for running away from me when out and other safety issues, dashing out of the yard ect.

When Scott came to live with us, Donny and Scott were 10, from 11-12 I spanked many a time for dangerous, daredevil stupid brain dead activity, they would see something on YouTube or tv and just have to try it “it looked like fun mom/my.” I hear/d that so often when I was scolding. I am so thankful that Bobby hasn’t gone through that stage, but Donny and Scott fed off each other, pushing that envelope, know what I mean?

Yes, Donny and Scott feed off of and get each other going and many a time Bobby gets sucked right in and follows and when their friends are her at time it its a spank fest, lol. When Scott first started living here, he and Donny were so close it was like they were actual twins, I had to check a few times to see if they were joined at the hip, lol. You never saw one without the other, I can’t tell you how many times I have had to spank the two of them together.

Now with the older two as of late its more their mouths, sassy defiant back talk teen hormones with attitude, along with the selective laziness, deafness....but still some of the same things as the past 10 years.

The older they get the more things stay the same, to some degree.
