I have never been a fan of bad language, but especially that word. And particularly used 'at' someone. That was a spanking well earned for your son. Good for you.

Like with your family, we have always insisted having our meals at the table. And I have always been strict in regards to behavior at the dinner table. I have administered spankings at the table quite a few times over the years. Mainly when the kids have been younger, but there have been a couple of times I've done it in their early to mid-teens, as well.

Similar to Mary, I will pull out a chair, turn it around and pull it away from the table a bit to give me some room to sit and put the child over my lap.

Of course I haven't done it with my own children in many years, but I have done so with Andy and Derek in more recent times (recent as in 3-4 years ago) and most recently I probably have done so a half a dozen times this year with my grandchildren.
