My experience has been they don't but I did coax my son's friend into it once years ago.

It was a new friend (Josh) who was about 8 or 9 at the time and I was driving him home. I didn't really know his family I'd spoken to his mom just briefly but he'd been a real joy to have around, mannerly, appreciative of the meals I'd prepared so I was kind of complimenting his behavior on the way home and at the same time digging for some information so I asked him what his mother did to have such an incredibly well behaved, well mannered boy like him.

His eyes got big he blushed quite a bit (2 big giveaways) but he wouldn't say anything at all. I, of course loved this and I just had to embarrass him a little more at this point.

Your reaction is telling me that you get spanked every now and then don't you Josh?

I got a little nod from him, then I went into it's okay, it's normal I got them my siblings got them my two kids get them and it was like relief from him then he loosened up a bit and told me about the last one he'd had.

So for the most part kids don't speak to adults about their spankings. Now they will talk about them to their friends and/or cousins if they know everyone is subject to the same treatment. I was kind of a nosy mom (aren't we all?) and I overheard them a couple times talking amongst themselves about spankings. I was all ears of course and quite enjoyed the banter.
