I agree that Cordelia is always worth a read, and full of pearls of spanking wisdom.

All kids have their own personalities, of course, and Donny is making sure Mom knows that. Stoic when bending bare bottomed over Mom's knee for a good spanking won't get a boy past first base. Bare bottomed discipline spankings from a parent really hurt, and even when older, tears will eventually flow when over the parental knee for a proper bottom warming. Donny has sporit though, and I like that in a child.

My second oldest son comes closest to this category, I'd say. He has a bit of a macho swagger about him. I have always noticed the particular look of grim satisfaction on Irene's face when her hairbrush has thoroughly tanned his bare bottom suspended over her knee. The uncontrollable squirming, sons and sniffles, she tells me (and the young man himself) 'cut him down to size' or 'takes him down a peg or two'.
