Sorry I guess this is going to be off topic. I don't really have a problem with my sons and their bedtimes. My daughter on the other hand, I've had a couple of run ins with. She just turned eleven and thinks her bedtime is too early. She's also the hardest of the three to get up in the morning. I tried to agree with her to allow her to go to bed later, but after a few days of being really hard to get up and being grumpy all day, I put her back on her regular bedtime. Sunday night I told her it was bedtime, but she wanted to stay up and watch a movie. I told her no, because it was a school night. She started telling me it wasn't fair because her big brother got to stay up later. I told her that's because he is older than you and he gets up in the morning without a problem and isn't grouchy all day. Then I said, "I let you stay up late on Friday, Saturday and whenever there's no school the next day, but on school nights, you have to be in bed no later than ten. Well complained more and I told her "it's bedtime, go now. One more word out of you and I'll spank you then send you to bed." She stamped her feet and yelled, "It's not fair". I said, "Young lady that's it." I grabbed her by the arm and took her over to the chair I usually sit in took her panties down and put her over my knee. After a good spanking, I stood her up and told her. "You aren't gonna back talk me and you are going to do what I tell you. Now go to bed." She ran crying to her bedroom. I gave her a few minutes to settle down and went to check on her. She was in bed, but was laying on her side rubbing her bottom. I went and sat with her for a few minutes talking to her. Rubbing her back and sore bottom. She apologized to me and I hugged her. Then I sat with her stroking her hair for a few minutes and gave her a good night kiss.
