That's what I had mentioned in my response to Teresa, even though the spanking I gave Andy during last Christmas was more public, I know his spanking during his birthday party a couple of years ago was much more embarrassing for him being in front of his friends, and especially being in front of a couple of friends that didn't know he was even spanked until that point. However, he had his chances to stop. He was warned, more than once. Including warned that I would spank him "right here and now". And he still did not listen.

All of his friends were boys. However, if any of them were girls, it would not have changed or affected how I administered his spanking in any way.

Oh yes, I continued to spank Andy quite consistently when he was 17 yrs old. And I currently do the same with Derek (he doesn't turn 18 until May). But I would say both boys (have) earned spankings about once every month to month and a half at 17. We will see what 18 brings for Andy, but it has already been made clear to him that becoming one day older, even though he turned 18, doesn't mean he is now too old for spankings. It still very much continues to remain an option for him.
