Depending on why I was/am spanking, much like Cordelia I also knew when I was and am about to deliver a more serious, intense, longer spanking and knew/know just how I want/ed the bottom to look before I stop spanking their bare bottom with my brush.

Being honest, spanking with a solid wood hairbrush will leave marks and interesting coloring when spanked long and firmly. Thus also knowing the bottom will take longer to get back to it's pristine white self.

Other times when it's a normal spanking the bottom is still fire engine red with brush marks down through their sit spots, it just heals faster than my 'big' spankings.
