Honey, my oldest is thirteen, and I can tell you for a fact, if he or either of my other two threw a tantrum in public at their ages now (eleven and eight), we would be making an immediate trip to the ladies room, where they would find themselves with a bare bottom getting a serious spanking. After that would be the promise of another one at home if they didn't straighten up. I haven't tolerated tantrums since they got out of the terrible two's and I never will. All three of mine have made that trip to the restroom with me at least once, and for the most part, that's all it took. That's how I was brought up and I never could stand to see parents just saying "now honey..." and overlooking a child's tantrum.
