OTK was always my "go-to" position until Benjamin approached the tween years and I started to notice that he would, how do I put this delicately, "react" to being bare bottomed across my lap, behavior that I found highly inappropriate. This caused me to change my preferred position to over my bed, bottom raised up on a pillow, still naked from the waist down. This also facilitates use of the yardstick or other implement that requires more freedom to fully engage the arm and wrist. Yes, it does reduce the intimacy that OTK can provide, turning the session into more of a pure punishment event at the expense of OTK bonding. But this is not all bad, I guess, and serves the original purpose of the punishment.
