For me what constituted an automatic spanking with no warning was Curfew violations, getting physical with one another, safety issues, bathroom issues, lying, swearing, cheating, getting into trouble at school or church, tantrums, slamming their door out of anger at me or their dad.

Once I decide a spanking is needed and I am going to spank, I spank 'then and there', no matter if aunts, nieces or nephews were there, no waiting unless I had to bring them home or get to our rest stop, then its an immediate spanking, even when the boys came home late from curfew I did not wait till morning, I took them to the couch to spank.
