You know Grumpy, I really don't get that either. Again to me, Corner time is either a separate punishment altogether, or it's a time to reflect before a spanking and a cooling off period for me. There are only a couple of times I've made one of my kiddos stand in the corner after a spanking. I have never made them stand with their butt bare or tell them they aren't allowed to rub their butt. My kids always rub their butts after they get spanked. It hurts. I always rubbed mine when I got spanked. Making them stand in a corner with their red bottom on display, telling them they can't rub or they'll get another spanking.... No, Not this Southern Momma.
