The spankings my husband and I give the kids are relatively short. My daughter is usually the most vocal because she's a bit of a drama queen. She will often be crying and begging before the spankings begin. Once the her bottom is bare and she's across my or Mark's lap there is pleading and her saying ow and so forth and then before the spanking is over, the real crying has started. It continues after she is back on her feet rubbing her bottom.

With my boys, there some ows and I'm sorry's to start with and then my oldest is generally quietly sobbing and youngest crying loudly before the spankings are over.
