I love that, and a big yes here as well "Rules are not optional." Well done by you and thanks for sharing this with us.

My boys and anyone under my care (their friends and those I sat/sit for) all know my rules, I will usually give one warning, that will increase to two on a holiday or birthday before I spank. But I do have immediate spanking offenses as will with no warning and again they all know what they are.

When I have given spanking warnings I would say 50% of the time it went/goes in one ear and out the other, along with selective memory and selective deafness. Even when I would ask them if they heard me, do you understand me? They would answer in the affirmative with a yes or head nodding yes.

But when my warning, rule was or is ignored and I would ask them "what did I just tell you!?' Or "what on earth were you thinking?!" then it would really get me going when they would reply with ”I don't know" “I forgot/ I forget”. And their answer at times would be accompanied with an indifferent shoulder shrug or at times just the shoulder shrug, when I see and hear that, I can’t wait to spank.

At times they do hear and remember but they defy, disobey, sneak and love pushing the envelope, the are also, selectively lazy and have selective deafness. As my mom said about me, "Stubborn to the bone." They inherited that from me.
