Thanks everyone. Jeff is 7 and Lianne is 6. They get along reasonably well together mostly mischief/disobedience spankings rather than fighting/bickering although they do earn quite a few and when Mary said in one ear and out the other that is precisely the case with them.

They haven't given me I forgot yet, usually Lianne will say I don't like the rule or we didn't want to do it. My son years ago used to give me I forgot which to me translates to I don't really have a valid reason it's time for a spanking. It was like if he had nothing else to say at all he'd go to the I forgot excuse.

The strange thing about the grandkids is even though Lianne is younger and female she is more the leader of the two of them but she often leads them right into spankings. Then she seems surprised they were caught, while Jeff is saying sorry grandma we shouldn't have done x or y or whatever it was.

I prefer Jeff's demeanor when it's time for a spanking he humbles up and is accepting. Lianne tries to talk, argue, plead her way out of it and she often talks herself into a longer spanking.

Probably 75% of the time I've had to spank it's been both of them. Well I suppose that makes sense those that play together get spanked together.

My daughter's reaction was kind of funny when she came home. She seemed kind of relieved and happy that I'd spanked them, she said, oh that's so good mom that will quiet them down cause she had a headache.

I kind of think she doesn't spank enough or is too inconsistent on when she does and doesn't. Perhaps I will have to diplomatically give her some suggestions.
