Hello Amanda,

I loved reading about your first experience with the brush. The change is never easy, I am sure your boys hated every single smack with the brush. Generally, it is reasonable to expect more from older children, and a harsher punishment that both, hurts and is more embarrassing now that they are older is very much needed.

I had similar experience with my twins, both of them could not believe that a hairbrush spanking has not been a one time deal. Addressing their desperate pleading I said, "it's up to you guys, behave well and you have nothing to worry about". Both of them promised to do so... Unfortunately, they could not keep that promise.
