I'm fortunate to live in a nice neighborhood with a lot of kids and a lot of parents who participate in Trick or Treating, so my kiddos usually rake in a LOT of candy. I usually walk with them, so they are safe and stay out of trouble. The only problem, I've ever had is when they get impatient and want to run ahead instead of staying with me. But usually the threat of cutting the trick or treating short is enough to slow them down. There have been a couple of times I've had to take the candy away after because they wanted to pig out on it. I would try to control it and catch them sneaking some. That usually resulted in a spanking.
