Mary, that would be funny if you suddenly stopped spanking and said, "Oh sorry. I didn't realize it hurts!"
As an aside, I think it's mean/unnecessary for a spanker to say "it's supposed to hurt" or such. The poor kid's bare butt is on fire and they are just begging/bawling anything to make it STOP!
